About Me

Andy Cooper

I first got pulled into design through objects like the iPod: products where you couldn’t tell where the hardware stopped and the software began. That interest led me from product design at Stanford to graduate industrial design at ArtCenter, and later into digital product work at Snap. That breadth shapes how I approach problems: from first principles, with the user and the constraints both clearly in mind.

For the past 12+ years, I’ve worked at Snap designing consumer products at scale. I was a founding designer of Discover, helping bring full-screen stories from the world’s top publishers to hundreds of millions of people. Since then, I’ve worked across Stories, Spotlight, Snap Map, Bitmoji, Creative Tools, and more.

Whether the work is physical or digital, I’m most interested in the moments where design makes something genuinely easier, clearer, or more delightful to use.
